I truly connected with what you wrote. As you might see from my addition to the blog hop, I am in a similar place and it has been bringing me such joy to create again this spring.
Thank you for the reminder that writing another post about creating in the margins is worth it! And that it is okay to take up time, space, and resources to fill your own cup…
Excited to read your piece, Olivia! (I am slowly but surely working through the blog hop today) I'm so glad I'm not along in this pursuit-- and thank you for your encouragement and kind words!!
Love this! Proud of you for leading those workshops and reclaiming your creative time! I currently have too many creative projects to juggle (painting! Poetry! Substack! A memoir!), but it feels good to have such a strong sense of myself as a creative person.
Okayyyyy, all of these photos through your eyes that share glimpses into your beautiful life are truly amazing. Watercolor at the beach sounds next level fun! We are taking a family trip to a beach town next week, so I’m tucking this away as a fun activity to do with my daughter. She would love it (as would I!) Keep looking for the light—loved reading every part of this 🥰
Kendra, this essay made my heart smile for you! I love how the color helped you intentionally set aside time for your art and creativity! It sounds like it was exactly what was needed! So glad we got connected! 🤍🙏
👏🏻👏🏻 I love this so much, Kendra! So proud of you friend for continuing to fight for your creativity! You’re such a talented watercolorist and what a huge accomplishment to host a workshop and have your work on display!
Looking for the light with ya...

To keep looking for the light!! Love these glimpses of faithfulness and following a calling.
Thank you Kim!
Leaning into the Sabbath with you! I see you: leaning into your creativity!! The watercolor! The workshops! The writing! YOU ARE DOING IT.
Sabbath has been such a gift to our family. Thank you for your encouragement, Becky!!
