Waiting is hard. The anticipation of something new, it lingers. She wonders what life will look like and how things will inevitably change. Will she still have time to create? Will the margins get even smaller than they already are? Will they be nonexistent? Will she be able to lead and serve in the roles she’s already committed to? Will she be able to give two the attention, the tender love and care they both deserve and need? Does her heart even have room for another? Will she still make time for date night? Is she able to keep her marriage front and center in the middle of diapers, tantrums, and late-night nursing sessions? As her belly grows round, she clings to hope. As she embarks on new roles, she clings to hope. As she dreams big dreams within tiny margins, she clings to hope. And what does hope look like? She waits on the Lord. She eagerly expects Him to move. She confidently and joyfully anticipates favorable, good things to come. Good things weaved into a brand new season.
